SCHOLARSHIPS

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Officials aged 24 and under who are active members of USA Hockey with a minimum of two years membership as of the application deadline.

  • High School seniors or graduates who plan to enroll or students who are already enrolled in a full-time* undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical school.

    • *Full-time study is defined as full-time enrollment for the entire upcoming academic year.

 

Past recipients of this award are eligible to reapply to the program if a minimum GPA of 2.5 is maintained.

Application

Interested students must complete the application no later than May 31 of the current application year. Applicants will receive acknowledgment of receipt of their application. If an acknowledgment is not received within three weeks, applicants may contact the STL Referee Scholarships to verify that the application has been received.


Applicants are responsible for gathering and submitting all necessary information. Applications are evaluated on the information supplied; therefore, answer all questions as completely as possible. Incomplete applications may not be evaluated. All information received is considered confidential and is reviewed only by the STL Referee Scholarships board. 


Applicants will be notified in early July as to their selection status. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients. Applicants who do not receive an award may reapply to the program each year they meet the eligibility requirements.

The STL Referee Scholarships Board has the sole responsibility for selecting recipients based on criteria as set forth in the program’s eligibility and requirements. This application becomes the property of the STL Referee Scholarships Board.
