Jerry Burt
Board Member
Jerry Burt is a highly respected official with more than four decades of service to ice hockey officiating and education. A USA Hockey official since 1980 and a member of the Missouri Ice Hockey Officials Association since 1983, Jerry has built a career defined by achievement, leadership, and dedication to the game.
Jerry has officiated at the highest levels, including more than 1,300 professional games across leagues such as the NHL, IHL, ECHL, CHL, and UHL. His experience also includes officiating USA Hockey National Championships at multiple junior and youth levels, NCAA and ACHA college hockey, two World Ice Hockey Championships in Italy and Sweden, and two Olympic Sports Festivals. He was among the pioneers of officiating development, attending the first USA Hockey Officials Camp in Lake Placid and the first USA Hockey National Camp in Colorado Springs, and later becoming one of Missouri’s first USA Hockey seminar instructors.
In addition to his on-ice accomplishments, Jerry has been a member of the NHL off-ice officials crew since 1993. He currently serves on the MIHOA Board of Directors as Vice President of Adult Hockey and has contributed extensively through service on the disciplinary, compensation, and nomination committees, as well as acting as a liaison between the MIHOA and Missouri Hockey boards. In recognition of his lasting impact on hockey and officiating, Jerry was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009.
